Flavor Network & Food Pairing

An interactive application exploring the science of culinary pairings across global cuisines. Based on the research from Ahn et al. (2011), this tool evaluates the "Food Pairing Hypothesis" prevalent in Western Cuisines versus the "Compound Avoiding Principle" found in East Asian Cuisines using 32 worldwide Cooking Bases.

It also includes a visualization of Regional Flavor Profiles compiled from Tim Ferriss' "The 4-Hour Chef".
